I’m the trainer behind Pawpano Beach Dog Training, and I help owners learn how to train and better understand their dogs.

Like most people who end up in this field, I didn’t get into dog training because I wanted to run a big business. I got into it because I genuinely love working with dogs and helping people build better relationships with them.

Training is something I care deeply about, and helping owners feel confident with their dogs is the most rewarding part of what I do.

Hi, I’m Skye

Why I Started Pawpano Beach Dog Training

I started this business because I wanted to spend my time doing something that actually felt meaningful.

While I enjoy being my own boss, the training itself is what matters most to me. Seeing dogs learn, watching owners grow more confident, and helping people finally feel like they understand their dog is what makes this work so fulfilling.

At the end of the day, my goal is simple. I want to help dogs and owners live a more balanced and harmonious life together.

My Approach to Dog Training

My training philosophy centers around clear communication, structure, and consistency.

Dogs do best when they understand what is expected of them. When owners learn how to provide that guidance in a calm and fair way, dogs are able to relax and succeed.

I don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all training programs. Every dog is different, which is why I customize training plans based on the individual dog and the goals of the owner.

My job is not just to train the dog. It’s to help you understand your dog so you feel confident handling them in everyday situations.

What Makes Pawpano Beach Dog Training Different

Pawpano Beach Dog Training is intentionally a small, personal training program.

When you reach out, you are speaking directly with me, and when your dog trains here, I am the one working with them.

Dogs stay in my home rather than a large kennel facility, and I only accept a limited number of dogs at a time. This allows me to focus on quality over quantity and give each dog the attention they deserve.

Clients also receive support during the program and after it ends, because your success as an owner is just as important as your dog’s training to me.

A Trainer Who Understands the Struggle

I know what it feels like to struggle with your dog’s behavior.

I’m human, and I don’t pretend to have perfect dogs. Like every owner, I’ve had to learn, adjust, and grow along the way.

That experience helps me understand what clients are going through when they reach out for help. My goal is always to provide guidance and support, not judgment.

Training should feel like working with someone who is on your side.

Assistant

Ellie is every dog’s best friend. She’s my right-hand woman, helping me provide top-notch care for all our dogs. She assists with training sessions, organizes structured walks, manages playgroups, and ensures each dog gets the one-on-one attention they deserve.

Ellie and her husband recently made the move to South Florida from Alabama, where they were deeply involved in local rescues—fostering and helping place over 25 dogs into their forever homes. She’s worked hands-on with a wide variety of breeds, ages, and temperaments, always providing a balanced, loving environment that sets dogs up for long-term success.

She gained her training foundation by shadowing a local trainer and has put in extensive work with her own two dogs, Bentley & Max. When the opportunity came up to continue expanding her knowledge in balanced training and work with even more dogs, she jumped right in—and we are so grateful to have her on the team!

Life outside of training

When I’m not training dogs, you’ll usually find me outside with them.

I enjoy spending time in nature, staying active, and taking dogs on adventures. Living in Pompano Beach means we have great weather and plenty of dog-friendly places to explore, which makes it the perfect place to raise and train dogs.
